TriState CareFlight, LLC is a fast growing air Ambulance Company our headquarters is located in Bullhead City, Arizona. We are currently looking for a 135 flight / ground instructor to join our team. The flight instructor will report directly to the Training Captain and will be responsible for assisting in the aviation training department.



Helicopter Commercial License

Helicopter Instrument Rating

FAA Certified Flight Instructor / Instrument (CFII Preferred)

2500 Hours Total Time

1500 Hours Turbine Time

1500 Hours PIC

100 hours Unaided Night

ATP Preferred but Not Required.


Position requires candidate to be a check airmen

Extensive travel will be required

Must relocate to Bullhead City, Arizona

Must have NVG experience

Job Description:

This position provides the leadership and oversight necessary to meet all operational goals of the TriState CareFlight’s rotary-wing pilot training program.

•         Supervise company instructors to ensure that they perform their duties effectively, efficiently and are qualified to teach assigned courses.

•         Perform routine audits and coaching of instructors to ensure the quality of all technical education provided by them meets acceptable standards.

•         Aid in the research and development of training content for new courses.

•         Ensure that lesson plans, power point presentations and examination material for all courses are kept current.

•         Ensure that all pilot training is properly documented.

•         Schedules, coordinates and conducts initial and recurrent training for all pilots.

•         Ensure that training curriculums meet FAA guidelines.

•         Assist with development of curriculums.

•         Ensure that trainees are scheduled for appropriate vendor provided training in a timely efficient manner.

•         Ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.

•         Ensure that all examination material is relevant, and kept secure.

•         Oversee pilot integrity through computer database resources in coordination with the TriState CareFlight standards and training records administrator.

•         Read, understand and interpret complex technical procedures, instructions, diagrams, schedules and regulations.

•         Write reports, lesson plans, procedures and draft power point presentations.

•         Present oral information and respond to questions from groups of new hires or current employees.

•         Solve practical problems and deal with multiple undefined variables

•         Operates and maintains currency as a helicopter pilot, instructor and check airman in assigned aircraft.

•         Perform other duties as required.

•         Displays great communication and leadership skills.

•         FTD Instructor.
