Job Description:

Reeder Flying Service, Inc. is a long established aviation service provider in the Intermountain West. We are seeking an experienced pilot with strong leadership skills to join our team as RW Chief Pilot. This position is based out of our offices in Twin Falls, ID and relocation will be required. The successful candidate will have a utility helicopter background, be federally carded with vertical reference expertise, recent firefighting experience, aerial application experience and have generous PIC time in AS350B3/B3e, AS350B2, BH206L3 and BH206BIII. A minimum of 5000 hours in helicopter is preferred as well as prior experience as a Chief Pilot. This is an upper level administrative role, with regular office hours in Twin Falls when not on travel assignment. It is expected the Chief Pilot will be part of the pilot rotation, flying the variety of missions we perform.

Duties and Responsibilities:

-Assist in the hiring, training and management of all Part 135, 133, 137 RW pilots

-Insure all Part 135, 133, 137 training and operational requirements are accomplished in a timely manner

-Maintain required FAA pilot record keeping for all RW pilots

-Assist in the creation, revision and training of Company SOPs, Checklists, Manuals.

-Maintain currency in all Company aircraft by acting as PIC.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

-Must meet the requirements of 14 CFR 119.71 to hold the Chief Pilot position for a FAA Air Carrier Certificate

-Current FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate Rotorcraft Helicopter

- Current FAA 2nd Class Medical Certificate

- Current FAA CFI Helicopter Certificate

-5000 hours total flight hours

- 3000 hours PIC Turbine Helicopter

- 300 hours vertical reference

- Current federally carded, or cardable with previous carding experience

-3 years experience as a federally carded firefighting RW pilot, operating in remote locations

- AS350 series and BH 206 series experience

- Applicants flight weight will be maintained at no more than 225 lbs

- Applicants must be able to assist with physical tasks, lifting and carrying weights up to 80 lbs.

- Computer competent, proficient in Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Qualifications:

- Previous aviation leadership experience

- Previous Part 135 Check Airman/Instructor experience

- CDL with HazMat endorsement
