Chief Pilot/Rotary Wing Pilot – Alaska

Job Description:
Chief Pilot directs all training activities of flight and ground crew members. Supervises and audits pilot activities for compliance with company policies. Prepares and maintains proficiency records, flight schedules, reports and correspondence pertaining to operations activities. Insures all required and necessary materials are available to each flight crew member. Attends to all PRIA paperwork. Designates and qualifies instructor pilots for training. Chief Pilot will also remain an active PIC, and will fly during tour season and heliski season and will accomplish initial and recurrent training of pilots. Job Requirements:

  • Must meet FAR 119/135 qualifications for Chief Pilot.
  • FAA issued rotorcraft/helicopter ATP or Commercial pilot certificate with instrument rating.
  • Current Class II medical.
  • Minimum 2500hrs PIC Helicopter.
  • Minimum 500hrs AS350.
  • Must be legal to work in the US and have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
  • Previous chief pilot experience.
  • Previous heliski experience.
  • Current flight instructor certificate.
  • Previously carded by USFS or DOI in AS350.
Salary Range: Neg-Neg
