Deputy Head of Training and Checking – Australia



A fantastic opportunity has opened up within Bristow Helicopters Australia, Asia Pacific Region, for a Deputy Head of Training and Checking.  This role is based in the Perth Office but will require frequent travel to various bases.

Reporting to the Head of Training and Checking, the primary responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist the HOTC with standardisation of Company flying training and operational practices, and maintaining a review of operational training requirements and procedures.
  • Monthly review of validity status of operational checks, in liaison with the Training Administrator and through the Training Database.
  • Assist the HOTC and administration staff with the efficient and effective day-to-day running of the Training Organisation.
  • Co-ordination of training courses, including the recruitment of trainees.
  • Monitor the progress of First Officers.
  • Monitor the command progression system.
  • Promote Compliance and Safety throughout the Training Organisation.

Essential requirements for this role comprise of a Part 61 Instructor Rating, previous experience as a Flight Instructor or Multi – Pilot Helicopters, and Part 61 Flight Examiner Rating or be eligible for a 61.040 examiner approval

The successful candidate must have the ability to work unsupervised and be highly motivated, imparting their aviation skill and knowledge to aid in a highly effective and efficient team.
