Chief Flying Instructor – Australia

A Head of Training Operations is required for our Part 141 operation based at Avalon Airport, Victoria, using R22 and R44 helicopters.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious instructor to take the flying school forward, overseeing a small team of instructors and assisting in all other aspects of company flight operations. The successful applicant will have a thorough working knowledge of the CASA rules and regulations as they will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining a high standard of both theory and flight training and ensuring compliance with CASA legislation.

An attractive remuneration package will be offered, commensurate with experience.

Minimum Required qualifications:  

  • Australian CPL (H) or Higher
  • Current Grade 1 Instructor Rating
  • Low level
  • Sling
  • NVFR
  • R22 / R44 instructing experience

Desirable qualifications:

  • Instrument Rating Training Endorsements
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • H120 experience
  • Clean accident record

  • Ability to work as a team player in a rapidly evolving and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of IT competency and administrative skills.
  • Highly detailed and task oriented.
