Chief Flying Instructor – Australia

An immediate opportunity exists for a suitably qualified individual to apply for the position of Chief Flying Instructor at GBR Helicopters’ Flight Training School in Far North Queensland.

Primary responsibilities include performance of all student training activities in accordance with CASA regulations, staff /instructor team management and administration duties, internal Company Check/Training and Flight Standards Quality Management.

Key Criteria

  • Current/previous CASA CFI Approval (or required qualifications and experience to obtain)
  • Comprehensive and demonstrable knowledge of CASA regulatory framework and
    requirements applicable to Flight Training operations
  • Minimum 500 hours turbine
  • Endorsed on the following aircraft; R22, R44, B206, H125/AS350
  • Experience in external load operations
  • NVFR rating
  • Management and team leadership experience
  • Ability to strictly adhere to Company policy, procedures and standards
  • Strong communication/interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
  • A passion for inspiring and developing others
  • Highly customer focused and a strong team player
  • Demonstrate a motivated and innovative approach to student training

ATO/Flight Examiner approval would be highly regarded.

The successful candidate will be strongly encouraged to make a significant contribution towards the growth and development of the Flight Training School.

Remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful applicant in line with qualifications and experience.
