B204/05/06/407 Seasonal Helicopter Pilots – Saskatchewan

Northern Shield Helicopters is currently looking for Full Time Term Helicopter Pilots for the upcoming season (1 April - 30 Sept) to join its team in Saskatchewan.

 

Northern Shield Helicopters offers competitive wages commensurate with experience and need to expand our pilot cadre to meet our current needs as well as plans for future growth. We expect that you can legally work in Canada.

Position Requirements:

  • 1500 hours PIC (rotary)
  • Airline Transport Pilot License Helicopter (ATPL-H) or a Canadian Commercial Helicopter License (CHL)
  • Endorsed on the following types; BH05/04, BH407, BH06/L or any combination of types listed
  • Valid Category 1 Aviation Medical Certificate.
  • Management and pilot training experience is an asset
  • Current and valid passport
  • Valid Driver's license
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours
  • Preference will be given to those who possess; HAC approved Mountain Course, Mountain Flying experience, Heli Skiing experience, Drill Move/Precision Long Line experience, Fire Fighting experience, Power line construction experience, wild life survey experience.
  • Incident/accident free for the last five years.
  • Positive attitude towards safety and safe-work practices

  • Ability to support and enhance safety initiatives
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to coach and mentor
  • Excellent analytical and decision making skills
  • Ability to adapt and change to evolving work environments
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Successful candidates will be assigned a home base for the season but must be willing to travel frequently to operate at other remote bases throughout Saskatchewan

Northern Shield Helicopters will employ you on a number of different rotary-wing aircraft depending on your endorsements and experience and will train you in:

  • Human Factors in Aviation
  • Cockpit Resource Management
  • Long-Lining
  • Fire suppression operations
  • Dangerous goods AND WHMIS
  • Survival Training
  • First Aid and CPR
