Job Description:

  • Reports directly to Chief Pilot.
  • Trains and evaluates pilots on initial and recurrent part 135 training and checking.
  • Coordinates initial and recurrent training schedules.
  • Creates and updates course ware.
  • Updates and maintains pilot records as outlined in FAR 135 and company training program.
  • Coordinate with other departments for training needs
  • Performs other duties as outlined in Operations Manual.
  • Coordinates with management team on personal/professional development.
  • Conducts part 135 flights as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • 3 years experience operating as PIC under part 135 within the last 6 years.
  • Hold a n FAA commercial/instrument and meet the requirements to obtain an ATP.
  • Hold a class 2 medical.
  • Have excellent customer/communication skills.
  • Have 2 years Gulf of Mexico experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and SharePoint
  • Have good working knowledge of FAR parts 61, 91, 135 and FSIMS.
  • Must be able to multitask.
  • Must maintain part 135 currency in assigned aircraft.
  • Must have at least 1 year of experience as a Part 135 Check Airman.

Westwind Helicopters is currently recruiting qualified Commercial helicopter Pilots and Airframe and Powerplant Technicians. We operate a premium fleet of Bell helicopters in support of the offshore oil and gas industry within the Gulf of Mexico. Work schedule 14&14. Workover is paid at time and a half of the daily rate. Offshore Bonus of $30 for each night spent offshore. $60.00 per diem.
