  • Rotary Wing Aircraft Maintenance Engineer needed

“Aircraft Maintenance Engineers “M-1” – are certified to do the broadest range of tasks so their work environments are varied. Work usually takes place indoors in hangers but from time to time they are required to work outdoors if repairs need to be made quickly or if no hanger space is available. AME -M’s often work under time pressure to maintain tight schedules yet have a responsibility to maintain safety standards. AME – M’s often oversee the work of apprentices and technicians. Work on wings and fuselages is required, so AME -M’s must be comfortable working at heights. These workers must be able to lift and position heavy engine parts and aircraft components. Work on  Rotary wing A/C is normally performed on a 50/50 basis. Individuals with rotary experience. – 5 years or more

Individuals with rotary wing experience, specifically Bell 206 series, Robinson R-44, and AS 350 Series.

Individuals with turbine engine experience.

 

The successful Candidate will also have computer skills including knowledge of Internet publications tools, Microsoft Office and Excel, and Windows Operating Systems.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Must have an M-1 License
  • Human Factors Training

 

** Written and verbal English language skills is a must. **

 

Conditions of Work:

  • Most work performed in a hanger in Whitehorse Yukon but must be willing to occasionally travel and work on aircraft in the field.
  • Must be willing to work at the float dock out in the wind, cold and rain when necessary.
  • Must be willing to work overtime if needed.
  • Must be able to bend, lift (50lbs.) and stretch.
  • Work well under pressure.
  • Must work well individually and in groups.
  • Must be willing to train others and be trained and follow up on all training (assess and document).
  • Must undergo internal training and examination process on Aircraft Type, Regulatory Policies and Maintenance Policy Procedures.

Salary will be $25.00-$35.00 hourly based on 40hr/Week (8 hours/Day)
