Job Description:
PULAU Corporation is seeking Aircraft Maintenance Instructors to support the ETSC contract on the Afghanistan Air Force Special Mission Wing (AAF SMW) Training Support Services (TSS) task order in Kabul, Afghanistan. These positions are full-time, exempt positions. Candidates must be US citizens, have a valid US passport, and able to travel to and live in Afghanistan. CRC may be required to complete/pass.

The Aircraft Maintenance Instructors will provide classroom-type and hands-on training for the aircraft. The Instructors will provide maintainer training courses including Levels I, II, III General Mechanics, Weapons, General Course-Logistics, General Course-Non-Destructed Inspection, General Course-Ground Support Equipment, General Course-Production Control General Course-Quality Control, General Course-Train-the-Trainer, General Course-Aviation Life Support Equipment.bit.png

Job Requirements:

  • Must have minimum of 6 years of combined experience as a NDI technician and/or experience as an instructor and/or maintainer on the PC-12 or UH-60A airframes.
  • Extensive experience instructing aircraft maintenance (classroom or ground instructor).
  • Thorough knowledge of FAA and ICAO regulations pertinent to operational requirements.
  • In- depth knowledge of aircraft structures and repair actions, aviation phase maintenance, logistics, supply, and security operations.
  • US Army branch 15 Aviation Military Occupational Skills series or other military/commercial equivalent.
  • Experience integrating, working with, and briefing members of the US military/government, US Embassy and international government/military officials.
  • Experience/sensitivity with diverse cultures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to timely implement new solutions.
  • Demonstrate proficiency and understanding of aircraft systems, components, and operations.
  • Able to develop relationships with new customers and maintain current client relationships to further business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present information to all levels within the organization and communicate data administration concepts to management and staff.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to timely implement new solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and management skills.
  • Strong team leadership and project management skills.
  • Proactive, results driven, and a keen sense of urgency.
  • Strong MS Office Skills.
  • Ability to create proposals, budgets, and project plans with technical teams in alignment with business development representatives and executive management.
  • Valid US passport with at least 6 months of remaining eligibility and must be a US citizen.
  • Successfully pass a background check for CAC and other access pass/badge requirements.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must complete/pass CRC as a condition of employment. Must meet the medical requirements for the position being offered as determined by a pre-employment medical screening and in accordance with published CRC and USCENTCOM medical deployment standards.
  • Must be willing to work and live in Afghanistan with an understanding that there could be further assignments to any location in Afghanistan based upon the needs of the U.S. Government, to include hostile and austere areas.
  • Must be able wear body armor and helmet Personal Protective Gear, unassisted lifting and carrying of duffle bags not exceed the weight of 70 lbs. per piece, and the unassisted movement over uneven terrain.
  • Must be able to routinely climb / descend stairs.
  • May be required to respond to a wide variety of operational circumstances, under extreme weather conditions, within a hostile environment.
  • May be exposed to extreme noise from aircraft, hostile fire, and other acts of aggression associated with this region.
  • Contractor personnel shall comply with all theater command policies, regulations, and General Orders. All tours are unaccompanied.
  • Refrain from using alcohol/substances inappropriately—abide by CENTCOM’s General Order #1.
