Position Description

The Quality Assurance Manager reports to the Program Manager. Provides organizational direction and leadership to support maintenance and logistics operations in support of customer requirements. Ensure that Quality policies, practices and procedures comply to all customer contract requirements, as well as applicable industry and regulatory standards to maintain an effective Quality Management System. Develop and execute programs that result in cost savings and increased customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

•Perform certification conformity inspection of aircraft materials, parts, assemblies, sub-assemblies and installations.

•Assist in the establishment, documentation, implementation and administration of Quality Assurance procedures appropriate to the regulatory requirements mandated by FAA and/or EASA

•Gain and maintain an understanding of all current regulatory requirements pertaining to the quality control of aerospace parts/components.

•Ensure that all incoming materials, parts, assemblies conform to the appropriate approved data.

•Adheres to our quality system, manages annual audits, and trains internal auditors.

•Conduct Internal Audits to ensure process compliance with specifications for processes, products, and equipment.

•Perform follow-up verification audits to ensure the effectiveness of corrective / preventive actions.

•Revise or write inspection plans, procedures and other technical functional Quality-related documentation under the guidance of the Program Manager.

•Conduct source inspections, evaluations and/or surveillance of suppliers and subcontractors.

•Improve efficiencies and productivity in multiple areas, resulting in cost savings.

•Develop and implement surveillance plans in concert with process documentation.

•May perform Customer Designated Quality Representative functions.

•May coordinate and perform First Article Inspections per AS9120/9102, or ISO 9001 inspection activities as required.

•Ability to effectively lead, motivate, develop, coach and drive associates to meet required goals and targets.

•Other areas as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

•Knowledge of DOD Contract Management and Administration.

•Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite Applications, i.e., Power Point, Word, Excel, to manage databases, Visio, and Project.

•Must possess exceptional oral and written communication skills.

•Must be able to obtain a passport for OCONUS travel requirements.bit.png

Job Requirements:
Education and Experience

•A&P mechanic with 10 years’ experience.

•Rotary Wing aircraft familiarity desired, Mi Series preferred.

•Familiarity with FAR’s and basic maintenance programs.

•Bachelor’s Degree preferred or at least 15 years of experience.

•Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and hold a government sponsored clearance (minimum SECRET). Must be able to pass civil criminal and background checks.

•Must meet physical standards for deployment to OCONUS locations.

Work Environment

•Travel will be required and will be performed under the guidelines of Federal Travel Regulations (FTR) and/or Joint Travel Regulations, Volume II (JTR).

•The work environment for this position will include warehouses, flight lines and/or operational airfields.

•Travel will be required to active war and hazardous locations OCONUS.

•Will be exposed to noise and hazards associated with aircraft hangars and operating aircraft.

Physical Requirements/Working Environment

•Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable

•Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions

•Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions
