Flight Crew Paramedic – New Zealand 

GCH Aviation, operators of the Canterbury West Coast Rescue Trust, are looking for a qualified paramedic/ICP to join our high-performing helicopter flight team of 7 in Greymouth.

This is a demanding role and not for the faint-hearted so you will be fit, healthy and able to cope with the pressure of the role and of the required training.

You will be required to assist the pilot in command with ensuring that the EMS aircraft is ready for any mission 24 hours a day/7 days a week.

During flight you will assist with navigation, NVG operations, clearances, safety, liaison with other emergency services and to operate the winch.  In addition to this you will offer medical support and assistance to patients and support to relatives.

Ideally you will be patient, resilient and extremely confident.  You will have a sense of humour and be able to contribute to an awesome morning tea!

The role involves being on standby within 10 minutes of the Greymouth Base during the day shift and 20 minutes during the night shift.  This involves excellent self-motivation and discipline and well as the requirement to be flexible and adaptive.
