Job Description:
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The A&P Mechanic is responsible for ensuring program aircraft are maintained to airworthiness standards prescribed by the FAA Administrator, Bell Textron, applicable regulations, airworthiness directives, company policies, and good practices.

DUTIES:

Application of STC’s
Hourly inspections IAW OEM Manuals, ICA and FAA Approved Data
Periodic Inspections IAW OEM Manuals, ICA and FAA Approved Data
Support Check flights to include post maintenance and track and balance of rotor systems
Ensures aircraft is maintained in an airworthy condition.
Ensures aircraft, ground support equipment, and work areas are maintained to company standards of cleanliness and appearance.
Ensures all required maintenance manuals and documents are in order.
Coordinates with Director of Maintenance to ensure timely acquisition of parts and tooling.
Ensures efficient scheduling of field maintenance.
Ensures all maintenance records are accurate and in accordance with applicable FARs and company policies.
Ensures company maintenance records are submitted to the principal business office in a timely manner.
Ensures program parts and supplies inventory is accurate and sufficient.
Ensures accountability for all expendable items.
Ensures all used core parts, unneeded new parts, and support equipment is returned to the proper departments in a timely manner.
Attends program meetings.
Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or equivalent Must meet recent experience requirement of FAR 65. 83. Factory or equivalent training on the assigned make and model aircraft preferred. At least 2 years’ experience maintaining turbine powered aircraft.FAA Airframe and Power plant certificate as prescribed by FAR 65Inspection Authorization DesiredMust be a U.S. Citizen Must have or be able to obtain a Secret ClearanceWe maintain a drug-free workplace and perform post offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day.Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.May be required to see aircraft in flight, read dials/gauges, identify small objects and hand tools.Must be able to see imperfections, micrometer readings and other small scales.Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, fork lift, APU, etc.
