·Assists, supervises, and directs all inspection personnel.
·Approve or reject work based on appropriate standards.
·Ensures all maintenance and inspections are properly performed
and the proper records, reports, and forms used by the maintenance department
are properly executed prior to releasing aircraft for return to service.
·Review aircraft maintenance records and all logs pertaining to
the aircraft for proper
·corrective action, recurring discrepancies, and trends which
require special action.
·Ensures required technical data used by the maintenance
department is kept secured, current and updated with latest revisions. This data
will include maintenance department’s process specification, manufacturer’s
maintenance, inspection and overhaul manuals, service bulletins, part
specifications, FAA approved data including airworthiness directives, and any other
pertinent technical data.
·Ensures the procedures for controlling and documenting
calibration of special tools and test equipment are executed properly.
·Coordinates with the FAA Certificate Holding District Office and
other Federal Aviation Administration offices regarding Quality Assurance
·Ensures that no defective, unserviceable, or unairworthy parts
are installed on any article released by the repair station.
·Submits reports of failures, malfunctions, or defects in
accordance with 14 CFR Part 145.
·Assures the proper execution of maintenance release and FAA form
337 when required.
·Oversees the final acceptance of all incoming raw material,
including new parts, supplies and the airworthiness of articles maintained by subcontractors.
·Ensures preliminary, hidden damage, in-progress, and final
inspections of articles maintained or altered by maintenance are completed and
results properly recorded.
·Oversees the proper tagging and identification of removed parts
·Provides for continuity of inspection responsibility, assuring
completion of required inspections when personnel shift or assignment changes
·Sees that rejected and unserviceable parts are handled in
accordance with approved methods to prevent their reuse as serviceable parts.
·Ensures completed work orders and inspection forms are stored in
such a manner a specific item can be readily located for review.
·Ensures contractors performing work on aircraft or appliances follow
applicable FARs and Company policies and procedures.
·Completes many projects concurrently as required.
·Participate in flight verification checks and test flights.
Ensure that pilots and crews are
·briefed prior to test flights so that the objectives of the
flights are clearly understood.
·Ensure that the configuration of aircraft and aircraft
components are such that all
·essential modifications have been incorporated.
·Any other duties as directed by the Director of Maintenance.
·A&P Certified Mechanic certificate with Inspector
·Must be able to hear properly in the 800-3000Hz frequency range
·Must have 20/20 or corrected to 20/20 vision
·Minimum of three years prior experience working for an FAA Part
135 Repair Station
·Prior experience in coordinating with the FAA Certificate
Holding District Office and other Federal Aviation Administration offices
regarding Quality Assurance issues
·Experienced in submitting reports of failures, malfunctions, or
defects of an article in accordance with 14 CFR Part 145.
·High School Diploma
·Proficient in computer systems (Microsoft Office)
·Very strong organizational skills
·Able to work independently and manage own time to maximize
