We are looking for a highly organized candidate for the position of Vehicle Fleet/Aircraft Support Equipment Manager.

Fleet/Equipment manager is responsible for:

  • Maintaining detailed records of vehicle servicing, inspections and scheduling regular vehicle maintenance
  • Maintaining a detailed inventory and records of aircraft support equipment to include its serviceability standard and record of inspections
  • Completing or coordinating the necessary repairs of aircraft support equipment
  • Projecting and purchasing additional aircraft support equipment and spare parts based on projected use and life limits

Fleet/Equipment Manager additional responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the recruitment of quality drivers into the fleet
  • Registering and licensing all vehicles under their management
  • Maintaining detailed records of vehicle servicing and inspection
  • Complying with U.S. DOT and FMCSA regulations
  • Scheduling regular vehicle maintenance to ensure operational efficiency
  • Ensuring strict servicing and maintenance times to minimize downtime and maintain schedules

Job Requirements:

  • 2+ years in a logistics role
  • Class A CDL with HME, tanker, and doubles/triples endorsements or ability to attain them within 90 days
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Basic understanding and proficiency in the use of hand tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Must live within reasonable daily commuting distance to Sandpoint, Idaho

Desirable

  • Experience in the transportation industry
  • 3+ years supporting Helicopter operations in a field environment
  • Experience with SEI (Bambi) aerial firefighting equipment
  • Experience with remote cargo hooks and longlines
  • Experience with other helicopter cargo delivery systems
