Job Description:
Field mechanics support maintenance activities on CH-46E or UH-1H helicopters which include scheduled/unscheduled maintenance, aircraft inspections, and launch/recovery operations in accordance with applicable FAA regulations and company procedures.

Job Requirements:

  • Valid drivers license required
  • Ability to routinely lift 70 lbs is required
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are required
  • Excellent decision-making and communication skills are required
  • Ability to climb, bend, and kneel frequently is required
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant license is a plus
  • Recent UH-1H or CH-46E experience is a plus
  • Maintaining assigned aircraft and completing required logbook entries in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures
  • Adequate computer skills are required to complete electronic reporting and utilize electronic manuals
  • Must be able to work in a field environment under austere conditions, with minimal support equipment
  • Must be willing to work a flexible and rotational schedule
  • Must be willing to work at home base location when not utilized in the field
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test and random drug and alcohol testing

Compensation:

  • Wages are based on a daily rate
  • All necessary travel and lodging are company paid
  • Per Diem will be included when working on a fire
  • Rotational schedule
