Job Description:
Objective:
To provide primary flight instruction and assist in the day-to-day management of flight instruction operations in the safest, most cost-effective and customer-oriented manner adhering to all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) and Company Safety Policies and Procedures Manual.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure the highest quality of flight and ground training in accordance with company philosophy and regulatory approvals.
- Ensure standardization of maneuvers being flown in accordance with the company Standardization manual and FAA PTS guidelines.
- Comply with all FAA requirements and regulations.
- Maintain close liaison with Chief Flying Instructor to ensure company flying program runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently.
- Act on behalf of the Chief Flight Instructor in his absence.
- Conduct FIC training if appropriately qualified.
- Conduct course Stage Checks and Progress Tests.
- Act as Line Manager to Course Supervisors.
- Ensure accurate compilation of Authorization Files and Student Training Files.
- Promote and maintain the highest standards of training and customer service in the industry
- Work with Chief Flying Instructor to provide assistance with planning for future Flight Training.
- Monitor flying operations to ensure best use of assets.
- Assist to ensure timely and accurate customer payment.
- Implement Target Zero in all areas of safety. Promote a safety conscious environment in the workplace and home environment. Promote Target Zero to all staff and students.
Required Certificates and Ratings:
- FAA qualifications: CFI/CFII Helicopter
- FAA Class 2 Medical
- 269/300C Experience
Flight Experience:
At least 300 Hours TT helicopter and 100 hours instruction helicopter
Desired Qualifications:
- Dual Rated CFI/CFII (Fixed Wing and Rotor)
- R-44 / Jet Ranger Experience.
- Mountainous Flight Experience
