UNI-FLY is a UK and EASA AOC holder operating a fleet of latest generation AW169 hoist equipped  helicopters in support of the renewable energy sector. The Company conducts daily passenger and cargo  hoist transfers for the world’s two largest offshore windfarms. Due to expansion within the business, UNI FLY seeks to appoint a Part 145 Maintenance Manager for a new UK approved Part 145 organisation  based at Humberside International Airport. 

Role scope: 

The Part 145 Maintenance Manager is responsible for the management of all maintenance activities;  Base, Line and Workshop, to ensure safe, efficient and on time delivery of maintenance to meet  operational demands. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Supervise, manage, and lead the engineering team. 
  • Responsibility for staff training, performance assessment, work assignment and maintaining all  relevant training documents for maintenance personnel. 
  • Interface directly with support personnel and third-party service providers to ensure an optimal  and timely service is received from all service providers. 
  • On instruction from CAMO, plan, and co-ordinate all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance  events at such locations as decided by the Company. 
  • Communicate regularly with the Company Quality Manager to ensure the highest level of  compliance is maintained at all times and is responsible for any corrective action resulting from  quality compliance monitoring. 
  • Initiate purchase requisitions as required. 
  • Responsibility for managing and maintaining stores supplies ensuring adequate levels for aircraft  parts, supplies and consumables are available as required. 
  • Report quality and safety issues to the Occurrence Reporting System. Represent the Part 145  Department at the Safety Review Board, Safety Action Group, reliability, and departmental  meetings. 
  • Have a working knowledge of Part 145 regulations. 
  • Ensure adherence to standard procedures by maintenance personnel. 

Develop and implement work processes, standards and policies for work conducted by the  maintenance team to ensure regulatory compliance.

Experience, Knowledge, and Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of rotary wing maintenance experience within an EASA or UK Part 145 Approved  Maintenance Organisation. Consideration will be given to fixed wing experienced candidates.  2 years of relevant management or supervisory experience with an EASA or UK Part 145  organisation. 
  • Hold or have held an EASA or UK B1, B2 or C Licence for Helicopter Turbine. Consideration will be  given to fixed wing experienced candidates. 
  • The ability to demonstrate relevant knowledge, background and satisfactory experience related  to helicopter maintenance to be acceptable to the CAA as a FORM 4 Post Person. Ideally typed rated on the AW169, or maintenance experience on AW169, AW109, AW139, or  AW189. 
  • Ideally with offshore, vibration monitoring and hoist systems experience. 
  • The right to live and work in the UK.
