Job Description:
The Helicopter Pilot is responsible for the safe operation and proper maintenance of the Kash Helicopter Services aircrafts. The member performs public relations and operational duties and tasks specific to the position.
The most important and essential job function of the position is attitude which includes the following: interacting positively and cooperating with co-workers, responding politely to customers, working as a team member, functioning under mild time pressure and responding in a positive manner to supervision.
- The Helicopter Pilot may perform other related duties and tasks, as required and shall have the physical, mental, and emotional abilities to perform the essential job duties of the position.
- The Helicopter Pilot is responsible for the safe handling of the aircraft during Aerial Applications of pesticides
- The Helicopter Pilot is responsible for the safe operation of the aircraft during external Load Operations
- the Helicopter Pilot will be responsible for conducting safety briefings as needed.
- Work long days
- Work several days in a row
- Not be afraid to work a lot
Job Requirements:
- High School or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Must possess and maintain Federal Aviation Administration Commercial Helicopter Pilot Certification
- Must possess and maintain Federal Aviation Administration Class II Medical Certification
- Must be willing to commit to five (3) years of Pilot assignment, after the completion of the training phase and approved as Pilot in Command
- Must pass the required state licensure to conduct pesticide dispensing operations
- Previous Ag experience preferred
- Previous Long Line experience preferred
- Physical Demands
- Able to lift a minimum of 50lbs
- Able to use arms, hands and legs to accomplish tasks
- Able to sit, stand and squat for extended periods of time
- Able to climb with balance on and off aircraft
Work Environment
- Required to work frequently near moving mechanical parts
- Required to work in outside weather conditions
- Exposed to loud noise levels
- Able to be on call during work week
- Required to work after hours and weekends as needed
