Job Description:

The Washington Corporations Corporate Flight Department is looking for an experienced and motivated Helicopter Technician. The successful Candidate will primarily be responsible for the maintenance, inspection, and upkeep of the maintenance records for the Company owned helicopters. Other duties will include maintenance and inspection of the Company owned fixed wing fleet as well as various tasks around the hangar. Salary will be based on previous experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled, unscheduled maintenance and inspections of Airframe, Engine, Electrical and Avionics systems on Company owned aircraft in accordance with current FAA Regulations.
  • Make appropriate entries into the aircraft maintenance records detailing the maintenance, inspection or repair performed.
  • Able to comprehend Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, etc. to determine applicability and actions needed to comply, as well as documenting them into the maintenance records as required.
  • Proper use of the appropriate tools, and equipment while maintaining, inspecting, and repairing Company aircraft.
  • Communicate with Flight Crews on a regular basis to determine any maintenance issues that need to be addressed.
  • Provide exceptional Customer Service to all Passengers, Flight Crews, and hangar guests.
  • Must be able to work a flexible shift to accommodate the flight schedule and maintenance events.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Manager of Aircraft Maintenance.

Job Requirements:

  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Competent in the use of computers and computer programs used with maintaining aircraft.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Must be able to work under pressure effectively and efficiently.
  • Must be able to adapt quickly to changing workloads and priorities.
  • Ability to work as part of a Team as well as independently when required.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test, a Federal fingerprint-based criminal history background check, and a driving records check.

Experience, Education and Certification:

  • Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant license required.
  • FAA Inspection Authorization preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ previous experience maintaining and inspecting Airbus helicopters required. Experience with Airbus EC 135 preferred.
  • Previous experience maintaining VIP helicopters in remote locations preferred.
  • Previous experience maintaining and inspecting one or more of the following aircraft: Challenger 300/350, Boeing 737, or de Havilland Twin Otter preferred.
  • Previous experience with CAMP or other computer-based maintenance tracking programs preferred.
  • OEM Factory Training applicable to the Company Fleet preferred.
