Auriga Aviation has established itself as an industry leader in the provision of specialist Helicopter Marine Pilot Transfer (HMPT) services in Australia. Auriga Aviation operates a modern fleet of Airbus and Leonardo helicopters in the provision of services to the maritime industry. Planned company growth includes additional bases and scope of operations.

Auriga Aviation undertakes charter and utility services to a diverse customer base, and operates from multiple bases at Gladstone, Hay Point, Mackay, Newcastle, and Port Hedland. Planned growth includes additional bases, and scope of operations incorporating multi-crew operations through our First Officer (FO) Training Pathway Program and further expansion of NVIS operations.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

As an exemplar of flight standards, successful Instructor applicants will offer advanced ground and flight training for Multi-Engine, Night VFR, Instrument Flight, Night Vision, and other ratings. Importantly, as an instructor you will translate your specialist skills into the operational environment through simulator training and line training activities. Simulator training is conducted in Germany, Italy, or Japan depending on aircraft.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • CASA CPL/ATPL (H)
  • Class 1 medical
  • Instrument training endorsement
  • NVIS training endorsement
  • NVFR training endorsement
  • MEH training endorsement (ideally on at least one aircraft listed in EX49/22)
  • CASR 61 Flight Instructor Rating (FIR), or ADF equivalent
  • 2500 hours helicopter
  • 1500 hours command (PIC) helicopter
  • 500 hours PIC multi-engine turbine helicopter

Desirable Operational Ratings and Experience

  • Low Level Helicopter (LL-H)
  • Sling Rating
  • Grade 2 Instructor Rating
  • Winch training endorsement
