Job Description:
Pollux Aviation is the largest 135 operator of Robinson Helicopters in the US. We support a variety of industries in the State of Alaska including tourism, oil and gas, mineral exploration/mining, fishing, and animal surveys.
We are looking for a motivated Mechanic who desires to broaden their horizons, loves to learn as much about their craft as possible and wants to see the State of Alaska.
As Mechanics at Pollux, we primarily stay at home base until there is scheduled or unscheduled maintenance that needs to happen where the helicopter is located. We then send the mechanic out to that site to perform the maintenance, you may be gone for up to a week at a time. In the summertime we make hay when the sun shines and the winter is more regular hours as we do major maintenance in a nice warm heated hangar!
We operate R44s and R66s
We will train as needed and send the right candidate to Robinson Maintenance course.
Job Requirements:
- A&P certificate
- Able to pass a Drug Test
- Knowledge of applicable FAR’s
- Able to work independently and with a team.
- Have a can-do attitude.
- Willing to travel for short trips into the bush for scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance.
- Excited to Learn
- Willing to work as much as needed in summer months.
- Microsoft Office suite experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Helicopter experience
- Robinson Experience/maintenance course
- Inspection Authorization
