Job Description:
HeloAir, Inc. is seeking a motivated, Bell 206 utility pilot/base manager for our Columbia, South Carolina satellite office. This is a salaried position with great benefits (Health insurance, HSA, 401k matching, annual bonuses) with a daily rate plus expenses. This is a great position for someone who wants minimal travel away from the base, wants to manage their own base, and wants to fly well-maintained equipment. A pilot assigned to this position will conduct scheduled and non-scheduled routine patrols of gas pipeline and electrical powerlines. Flights are conducted at low level to be able to recognize abnormal operating conditions within the utility right of ways and report such to the utility companies. The preferred candidate will have at least a basic knowledge of the utility company right of ways and structures and will have residence within commuting distance of Columbia, South Carolina. This position requires an initial and ongoing random drug and alcohol testing.
Responsibilities:
- Anticipate client and crew needs to continually improve the level of support and service
- Work well with crew members and provide outstanding customer support to clients
- Conduct preflight and post-flight inspections
- Conduct pre-work safety briefings
- Represent the Company in a professional manner
- Uphold current company policies and procedures
- Completes and submits all required Company paperwork
- Operate Company aircraft in a safe manner and maintains safety as the primary concern
- Maintain required pilot and medical certificates
- Complies with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations
Job Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- FAA Commercial Rotorcraft-Helicopter Certificate with Instrument Helicopter Rating
- Current FAA class 2 medical certificate
- Basic computer skills
- Comfortable flying in light helicopters at low level
- Bell 206 experience preferred
- Flying in the wire environment experience preferred
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
