Role Summary

CHC Helicopters Netherlands B.V. (CHC HN) has an opening for a Junior Engineering Officer, located in Den Helder and reporting to the Technical Services Manager.

Purpose of the job

The Junior Engineering Officer is part of the Technical Services team, responsible for the Continued Airworthiness of the aircraft fleet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and assess the applicability of technical publications and provide recommendations to the CAMO/AOC and Part 145 Nominated Post holders;
  • Preparing the maintenance program review report;
  • Initially prepare, maintain in accordance with the latest requirements, periodically assess and optimize maintenance programs;
  • Liaise with Type Certificate holders on technical issues;
  • Support and contribute to the EASA Part 21 Design Organisation during modification/repair proposal, compilation and approval;
  • Compile and control configuration lists, including AMOS reference trees, for all designated individual aircraft;
  • Create/register new part numbers in AMOS;
  • Control fleet standardisation and modifications in direct liaison with AOC NP and Operations;
  • Act as contact/vocal point, both internally and externally, in respect of technical affairs to maintenance organizations and subcontracted CAMO’s as defined in the related agreements;
  • Carry out trend monitoring of oil sample SOAP analysis, hydraulic fluid patch tests and aviation fuel microbiological tests and advise Maintenance Organisation of appropriate actions;
  • Maintaining Mass & Balance reports.
  • Carry out aircraft surveys, on new or used aircraft, to determine whether the aircraft complies with the regulatory and AOC NPH requirements to operate the aircraft;
  • Checking, updating and correcting as required the documentation in use by the Technical Services Department and Part-145 organization.

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

  • Have a minimum of one of the following qualification:
      • Part-66 license (category B or C license), or
      • Have an aeronautical degree, or
      • Have an equivalent degree being an engineering degree from mechanical, electrical, electronic, avionic, or other studies relevant to the maintenance and continuing airworthiness of aircraft/aircraft components;
  • Experience and knowledge in the field of aerospace engineering;
  • Experience and knowledge with helicopters;
  • Experience and knowledge in the field of maintenance programmes for aircraft;
  • Experience in preparing reports;
  • Affinity with computer applications;
  • Good verbal and written skills in English (and preferably also Dutch)
