The Helicopter Line is New Zealand’s leading helicopter operating company, operating in Mount Cook, Franz Josef, Fox Glacier, and Queenstown. All our staff are focused on providing the best guest experience in a safe, enjoyable manner and share a passion for showcasing this stunning landscape to our customers.

We are seeking enthusiastic people to join our friendly and dynamic team at Glentanner Park, Mount Cook. Responsibilities of the position are set out below:

  • Greeting guests and checking them in for their flight.
  • Providing safety briefings for guests before they fly.
  • Loading and unloading guests from our helicopters.
  • Driving our courtesy van to and from Mt Cook village for guest transport.
  • Replying to emails and answering phones when required.
  • Base maintenance & general cleaning duties.
  • Assisting with our Cafe when required
  • Working to assist our operation at Mt Cook Airport for Tasman Glacier Heli Hikes.

Previous experience in aviation not necessary as full training will be provided. We would like to see the following attributes from applicants for the position:

  • A great can-do attitude with a willingness to learn new skills.
  • A strong sense of responsibility, commitment, and reliability.
  • Confidence managing groups with strong, clear communication skills.

Further information:

  • Applicants will have the legal right to work in New Zealand for an extended time.
  • Accommodation options may be available in Twizel township with transportation to and from work provided.
  • This is a fulltime position which includes weekends/public holidays and will be rostered 5 days on and 2 days off per week.
