About the role
Here at Babcock International we’re looking to recruit an Avionics Type Engineer.

You’ll be responsible to the Head of Continuing Airworthiness for the oversight of the Avionic & Electrical elements of all aircraft types.

• Review and process of Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and other OEM / Authority requirements, applicable to their specific aircraft types
• Liaison with the Head of Continuing Airworthiness regarding Scheduled & Unscheduled maintenance in order to effect timely response and support to the Part 145 Organisation.
• Liaison with the Flight Operations Department with regard to applicable Flight Safety issues.
• Liaison with Type Certificate Holders relating to Technical Support, Modifications, Defects, Reliability, Investigations and Safety.
• Liaison with Design Organisations with regards to Aircraft Modifications, Repairs and Testing.
• Management of applicable Occurrence Reports

 

What do I need to do the role?
You’ll need EASA Part 66 B2 License, Type rated on a company aircraft preferred but not essential, Knowledge of EASA regulations, understanding of Quality and Safety Management Systems, knowledge of avionic systems installed on medium & heavy helicopters, Licensed Aircraft Engineer (Part 66, B2), experience of Helicopter Line and base maintenance and HUMS / VHM training to level 2 (Optional)
