We are seeking expressions of interest from self-motivated and proactive individuals for the role of Search and Rescue Crewperson. Rescue Crewperson forms part of the Search and Rescue (SAR) Technical Crew which operates the aircraft during SAR operations and training flights.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the aircraft is prepared for SAR operations before each flight
  • Dispatching stores, pyrotechnics or air-droppable life rafts
  • Ensuring that cabin occupants and equipment are secured
  • Conducting the rescue/recovery of personnel while deployed on the aircraft winch
  • Provide any first aid required to rescued personnel,

We are seeking applicants with the following experience and qualifications:

  • 100 Flight Hours as SAR Technical Crew
  • CASA Class 2 Aviation Medical
  • Ability to pass and maintain PHI SAR Technical Crew fitness test standard

The following qualifications and experience are desirable but not essential:

  • TBOSIET with U-EBS and CA-EBS
  • Advanced First Aid Training
  • Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate
