Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities:

  • Adhere to Company health, safety and environmental policies.
  • Conduct ground and flight training of Company Crew Officers to the standards which are determined by Company and the Training Manual in the most efficient cost-effective manner possible.
  • Assess and maintain Crew Officer training records and reports.
  • Undertake line flying duties as a Crew Officer of Rescue Crew Officer.
  • Conduct Check and Training Crew Officer periodic assessments.
  • Conduct Company proficiency checks.
  • Maintain operating standards for nominated helicopter types.
  • Advise Head of Training regarding Crew Officers exhibiting and desirable flying habits.
  • Assist Head of Training with administrative duties.

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

About You:

Successful candidates will ideally have the following minimum qualifications and experience:

Minimum qualifications

  • Previous Checking and Training experience,
  • Previous SAR Aircrew and Rescue Crew Officer experience,
  • 1000 hours Rotary wing experience,
  • Current CASA Class II Medical Certificate,
  • Current HUET/EBS.

Desirable qualifications

  • Previous experience on AW139, SK92 and H175,
  • Current First Aid and Advanced Resuscitation Certificate.

Who we are:

Offshore Services Australasia (OSA) is the leading supplier of helicopter services to the Australian Offshore industry. We operate multiple helicopter types from a number of bases throughout Australia and Timor Leste, providing support to major oil and gas producers.

About the role:

OSA has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Check and Training Crew Officer to join our Offshore Aviation team. The role will support our helicopter operations throughout Australia and Timor Leste (Barrow Island based). The position would be an equal time roster based on 15/13, however flexibility is required.

The Check and Training Crew Officer is responsible for checking and training of Company Crew Officers, ensuring that a high standard of flying discipline is maintained.

The Check and Training Crew Officer reports administratively to the Head of Training for all training-related requirements, and functionally to the HOFO for Line Duties. In addition, the Check and Training Crew Officer conducts training under the OMD, under the supervision of the Head of Training.
